CROWN Act Adopted in Pennsylvania

On November 25th, 2025, Pennsylvania officially adopted the Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair (CROWN) Act. This new law protects natural hair and protective hairstyles commonly associated with race, ensuring employees are free from discrimination based on their hair texture or style.

Employers who restrict or prohibit these styles may now face significant legal exposure. Organizations should review grooming standards, dress codes, and equal employment policies to ensure full compliance.
